Here at Eagle Vision, we are here for you in the case of an emergency. If you experience trauma to your eye area, or if your child or family member has an accident involving their eyes, it can be very frightening.
The sooner you get treatment for your eyes, the quicker you can find relief and put your mind at ease. Early detection and treatment of problems can also help prevent serious damage to your eyes or vision.
Our team is here to provide advice and immediate care for your eyes. When eye emergencies happen, call us right away at 801-789-3937. After hours, you should get to the nearest hospital for care or, if necessary, call 911.
What Is Considered an Eye Emergency?
Common eye emergencies we can treat include:
- Cuts and scratches to the eye
- Sand or small particles in the eye
- Trauma to the eye area
- Chemical burns or splashes
- Large foreign objects in the eye
- Eye infections
- Sudden-onset complications of eye diseases

Symptoms of an Eye Emergency
Even if you aren’t sure your issue is an emergency, contact us anyway! If you feel that you should be seen for any reason, please give us a call.
You should come in immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms:
- Pain in the eye area
- Differently sized pupils
- Bulging eyes
- Double vision
- Very red eyes
- Severe itchiness
- Bruising or bleeding
- Sudden headache
- Discharge from the eye
- Eyes moving separately
- Sudden loss of part or all of your vision
